OneVu wins two key payments awards in two months

5th June 2007 – OneVu has achieved a spectacular double by winning Europe’s top awards for innovation in payments in two consecutive months – from EPCA/ECR and The Banker.

Together these awards prove OneVu’s success at realising the vision of our parent company, Voca. This aims to encourage the uptake of electronic automated payments and bills through innovative products for changing lifestyles.

In addition, they recognise the speed at which OneVu is influencing the UK payments landscape: our service has been live with key online banks for just a few months – Lloyds TSB since November 2006 and RBS and NatWest since April 2007.

‘Most innovative retail or corporate payments service’

OneVu fought off stiff opposition from other European entrants such as Banksys Belgium and Permanent TSB Bank Ireland to win the most innovative retail or corporate payments service award at an event held in Frankfurt on 15 May.

The EPCA panel of consultant judges couldn’t have been more complimentary about the OneVu service. For example, they said:

  • “Amazing new product”
  • “Well thought through”
  • “Making life easier for a lot of households”
  • “Powerfully presented to the public”

OneVu has demonstrated how billing organisations can benefit from speedier, more accurate payments, with smaller suspense accounts and lower customer-service costs, by winning The Banker technology award 2007 for faster payments in the ‘payments innovation’ category.

This exciting award confirms OneVu’s position at the heart of the UK financial system, putting us on a par with more-established major players.
